Architects, designers and homemakers have direct access to Formica’s latest laminates with the opening of a flagship showroom in Geylang.
January 9th, 2013
The space gives visitors the chance to expand their knowledge of the latest Formica designs and to see applications beyond the typical and basic. Product displays such as cabinets, kitchen fixtures, a bedroom and wall panels are incorporated in a home setting.
“This new flagship showroom is ideally located for visitors to explore options, get inspired, meet with Formica representatives, collaborate with interior designers or architects and see the latest designs in a real-world application,” says Fred Wang, President of Formica Asia.
He continues, “The Formica Singapore Showroom is a ‘lifestyle’ store that gives customers inspiration to design their home using high-pressure laminates in all areas of interior home furnishing.”
“We believe the Formica Singapore Showroom will work as a bridge to inspire our architects and designers in Asia,” he says, “and [will allow] more effective communication with our customers.”
Formica’s intention was to design a space that communicates quality, innovation and brand spirit. The showroom features a living room with built-in cabinets in wood grains and Formica DecoMetal. The built-in kitchen fixtures highlight Formica’s 2mm-thick Gloss Compact Grade Laminate. In the bedroom area, the wall panels display the new range of wood grains from Infinite Creations by Formica Asia.
The opening of the showroom also showcases Formica’s commitment to sustainability. Says Formica, sustainability was a driving factor throughout the design and construction process.
The Formica Singapore Showroom is located at 504 Sims Avenue, Singapore. It is open from 9am to 5:45pm Monday to Friday, and on Saturdays from 9am to 12:30pm.
