Reflections at Keppel Bay, Singapore

Daniel Libeskind’s first residential project in Asia is now complete.

The distinctive family of curved towers designed by Daniel Libeskind at the entrance to Singapore’s Keppel Harbour is now complete.

Reflections at Keppel Bay

Libeskind’s first residential project in Asia – also his largest – comprises 1,129 luxury apartments divided among 6 high-rise towers and 11 low-rise villas on a 20-acre site. No 2 floors are alike in shape or size. And in a feat of engineering and design, the soaring towers gently bend toward one another as if in conversation.

“I don’t think I’ve ever designed anything like it. On a simple architectural level, it’s the only project ever done with a double curvature,” says Libeskind.

The project seeks to tackle the sense of uniformity and congestion often found in residential developments. At Reflections, the positioning of low-rise villa blocks along the water and high-rise towers behind create an airy, light-filled grouping.

Each design detail aims to heighten the buildings’ connection to land, sea and air. The towers are wrapped in anodised aluminium panels and feature large glass windows. When combined with the towers’ alternating heights, the exterior becomes a striking interplay of shifting planes and shimmering reflections.

There are also rooftop gardens and 9 landscaped ‘sky bridges’ connecting the towers.
